The top slides on with tracks and we found we had to tighten all the screws holding the tracks on as it wouldnt push to the bottom. a harder seat but my husband thought it was perfect. So each to his own. the arms are low so its more of an armless chair . Its doing exactly what i was looking for! Happy with it!

This is a very pretty chair, and seems to be good quality. However, the seat cushion is way too stiff. We normally like a firm chair, but this is beyond firm. It feels like you are sitting on a wooden bench. Because there is absolutely no give in the cushion, you dont get that cozy, enveloped feeling while sitting in it; plus, you end up sitting too high in the chair for it to be truly comfortable. On the upside, it must be high-quality foam for it to be that firm. I hope it softens with time, as it really is cute and just the right size for the space.

The colors are definitely darker than pictured so that threw us off a bit. Another thing is the material is a bit strange, textured and sort of has a shimmer to it. That all being said, we do love the chairs overall, they will work just fine.
